LIEUTENANT COLONEL (RETIRED)

Robin Johnson

After serving over 20 years in the United States Army, Robin’s new mission is healing people, organizations, and communities through humor.

LTC (Retired) Johnson has been featured on USA Today, ABC, CBS, VET TV, and Fox. She is an international touring comedian & speaker that is sought out for her relatable comedy and subject matter expertise on the application of humor in both leadership and suicide prevention.

While she enjoys performing stand-up comedy for military affiliated audiences, her passion is the applied and therapeutic use of humor. A dedicated suicide prevention advocate, Robin created HEAL*ARIOUS, a therapeutic humor program as a proactive approach to use humor as a cognitive behavioral theory tool for reframing negative thought patterns.

"We need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and figure out why people are falling in"

DESMOND TUTU, NOBEL PEACE LAUREATTE

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Robin “Phoenix” Johnson served over twenty years in the U.S. Army, with career highlights including five combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and commanding at both the company and battalion levels.

After hanging up her boots, Robin picked up a microphone and now tours internationally as a stand-up comedian with Armed Forces Entertainment. She brings a powerful blend of leadership experience and humor to stages and boardrooms around the globe.

Her keynotes and workshops have empowered audiences at top organizations like Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, General Motors, and Comcast to harness the transformative power of laughter.

When she’s not making people laugh or transforming leaders, you can find Robin on the sidelines of a soccer field—shouting encouragement, questioning rule interpretations, and trying not to get ejected for excessive enthusiasm. She may not know what “offsides” means, but she does know the snack rotation by heart.
